The nearest pulsar to Cor Caroli V is located in the Lonka cluster, 34 minutes away at Warp 7, is a rotating neutron star with a mass about 4.356 times that of Sol. It became the meaningless destination ordered by the aliens' false Captain Picard to test the crews' loyalty and delay the rendezvous with the U.S.S. Hood at Browder IV. Another pulsar, with a rotation of 1.5244 seconds, provides the clue to determine the home of "John Doe" from his computer's bio-chemical storage medium.
