A dying orange star which went supernova in 2368 due to a helium fusion enhancement test by the Kaelon scientist Timicin as part of his attempt to save his own world's failing star. Its core became unstable after the temperature peaked at 251 million degrees K. Because of the danger, a search of the system was conducted before the experiment for all life-forms, regardless of scale, and even passing spacecraft.
