One of the most beautiful vistas in the known galaxy, the Beta Lyrae system contains a panoply of giant red and yellow stars, a blue dwarf star, and blue gas clouds. The region is also home to a small, icy world with almost no atmosphere, to which Chuft Captain's band of Kzinti pirates lured the Shuttlecraft Copernicus on stardate 4187.3 (2269), in an effort to obtain ancient high-tech weaponry from a Slaver stasis box.
