A range of mountains located in the arid expanse of the desert known as Vulcan's Forge on the planet Vulcan. In this region of their homeworld, Vulcan children, including Spock, undertake the traditional ten-day desert survival rite known as the kahs-wan test in order to pass successfully into adulthood.
