The Yridian is hired by the Xindi to track Phlox and inform them when and if the doctor makes a breakthrough to kill the multiphasic parasites in Captain Archer's brain and thus reset history, undoing the Xindi's killer attack on Earth and its colonies. When Koss is caught near Archer's Ceti Alpha V colony, he claims to be merely an illegal Rigellian flamegems dealer. It takes the threat of cutting up his small shuttle in the NX-01's Launch Bay to finally get the truth, allowing the fleet more time to hold off the Xindi attack.
