Native of Mislen, a planet in the Delta Quadrant, Chardis piloted a freighter that was attacked by the "Swarm" species, five parsecs from his homeworld in 2373. He was the only survivor from the freighter rescued by the U.S.S. Voyager, but he died shortly thereafter.
