Ronald D. Moore

Ronald D. Moore served as co-executive producer of Paramount Network Television's Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Moore joined Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's production team as supervising producer in its third season.

After graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Moore moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a writer. He sold his first script, entitled "The Bonding" to Star Trek: The Next Generation and was hired in 1989 as a staff writer. Two years later, Moore was promoted to supervising producer and held that position through the final season. He wrote or co-wrote 27 episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation including the series finale, "All Good Things...," for which he won the Hugo Award for excellence in science fiction writing.

Moore's feature film credits include co-writing Paramount Picture's "Star Trek Generations" (1994) and "Star Trek: First Contact" (1996). The latter film became the highest grossing of the eight Star Trek films, reaching over $145 million worldwide. Additionally, Moore acted as consultant on two of Paramount's CD-ROM interactive games, "The Klingon Experience" and "Star Trek: Borg."

In 1999, Ron briefly joined the staff of Star Trek: Voyager before leaving to pursue other writing opportunities, including the series Roswell. He recently served as executive producer on the miniseries "Battlestar Galactica" for the SciFi channel.
