What do I do if I find a post that is offensive?

If you find a topic or post that you feel violates our Terms of Use, please do these two things:

1. Report the post

In the last line of each post in a topic there is a text link to "Report this post to a moderator."

Click that link and a form will be displayed. The form already knows which message board and topic you are reporting. In the field labeled "Your message" let us know why you think this post is in violation of our Terms of Use. Please include the username of the poster and the date/time the message was posted; that will make it easier for us to find the particular post.

2. DO NOT reply to the post

Often, these types of post are there just to get attention. If you ignore an offensive post, you have defeated its purpose. If you react, you're just playing their game, and they win.

NOTE: the "Report" link only appears if you are a member of STARTREK.COM and have logged in.
