If you use America Online (AOL) to connect to the Internet, you have the option to use another Web browser to improve your Web-surfing experience. You will find that certain functions (like multimedia presentations and membership/contest entry on our site) work better with other browsers.
Two recommended alternative browsers are Internet Explorer (for Windows) and Safari (for Macintosh).
- You may find the blue "e" logo for Internet Explorer on your computer already.
- Make sure you have the latest version of the browser installed.
- Open AOL and sign in to connect to the Internet.
- Minimize or hide AOL, but do not sign off.
- Open your browser.
As long as your AOL connection remains open, you should now be able to visit any Web site (including STARTREK.COM) using this alternative browser.
