Joining STARTREK.COM is very simple: once you click the JOIN NOW button (in the navigation bar of every site page), you just fill out the form. Each field is explained here:

E-mail address	Provide a valid e-mail address. We will send you an e-mail which you must read in order to activate your membership. You'll use this to identify yourself when you log in.
Password	You will use your password whenever you log in. It must be at least 4 characters long.
Repeat Password	Type the same password again for verification.
First Name	Enter your real first name.
Last Name	Enter your real last name.
Address	Enter your street address. We will use this if you win a prize in a giveaway, so no P.O. boxes, please.
City	Enter the city in which you live.
State	Choose your state from the list. For U.S. residents only.
ZIP/Postal Code	Enter your ZIP Code (U.S.) or Postal Code.
Country	Choose your country from the list.
Date of Birth	Select the month, day and year of your birth from the lists. You must be at least 13 years old to join.
Gender	Select the appropriate button.
Username	Type a username using only letters and numbers. Your username will be used to uniquely identify you in Community activities like Message Board posting and Fan Reviews.
Where to Watch	If you are a U.S. resident and have entered a valid ZIP Code, you can choose your television provider.
Permissions	Check the box next to the free e-mail information you wish to receive.

All the items in bold are required when you join. In addition:

• A username is required before you participate in Community activities.
• To enter a contest, your address, city and state are also required.
