You may select a small image to appear under your username in your message board posts. This small image is called an "avatar" and we provide over 130 of them from which you may choose. Click here to see a display of the avatars currently available.

NOTE: In response to requests from message board users, over two dozen new avatars were recently added to the collection.

To select an avatar to represent you:

1. Log In to the STARTREK.COM site.
2. Go to the Message Boards.
3. On any Message Board page, click the "Your Control Panel" text link at the top left.
4. Click the "Personal Info" text link.
5. Click the "Avatar Options" text link.
6. Scroll through the list of avatars. Select one in the list to see it displayed.
7. When you've found the one you want, click the "Add this avatar to my profile" button.

You will be returned to the Your Control Panel page. All of your posts in the message boards will now show your selected avatar.

You may select a different avatar at any time; all your posts will automatically appear with the new avatar.

Please note: You may only choose from the avatars that we provide. You may not create or upload your own avatar design for use on our message boards.
