Before you enter a chat, there are a few things you need to know.

Your Web browser must support Java

The chat environment uses Java technology. You can test your browser here.

Joining a Lounge Chat

When the chat is active, this page will have a CHAT NOW link at the bottom. When you click that CHAT NOW link, you'll see a small pop-up window. Type a Nickname for yourself and click the "Connect" button; the Lounge chat window will be displayed.

The Lounge

When you enter the Lounge, you can chat with the other fans in that room.

Visiting Other Rooms

There may be more than one Lounge room active. Click the "ROOMS" tab above the list of names. You'll see a list of Lounge rooms and the number of people in each. Click a Lounge name and click the "ENTER" button at the top of the list, and you will enter that Lounge. You can converse with everyone in that room.

Private Messages

If you want to converse with an individual, you can send a Private Message. Just click on the person's name in the list, then click the "balloon" icon (the middle one) above the list of names. If someone sends you a Private Message, it will appear in the chat window. Just click on that message and a new Private Message window will open for your conversation.

Proper Behavior

Be sure you understand our Terms of Use before you participate in a chat. If your behavior is in violation of our Terms of Use, a Monitor may warn you or even kick you from the room.
