Mission Briefing:
You are a Starfleet Academy Cadet in the Officer Training Program with hopes of someday captaining your own Starfleet
vessel. In the following simulation you have control of the helm of a vessel trapped in the deadly Namadra V Corridor. You
must use your navigation and decision-making skills to safely pilot your ship to Clear Space. The only difficulty is that the
composition of the Corridor renders your sensors almost totally useless by reducing their range to only those sectors
that immediately surround the ship.
By firing your limited supply of probes and interpreting their reports you can chart a safe path through the maze of purple
sectors that will sap your shield strength, making your ship more vulnerable, and the red sectors that will breach your hull,
destroying your vessel upon contact. These, however, are not the only dangers that lurk in the Corridor. You will have to
toggle between magnifications to get a wider view of your location as Klingon patrol ships will cross your path, requiring
immediate evasive maneuvers.
Scoring depends on how much power you have left once you have reached Clear Space. Pay close attention; your power supply
diminishes at a constant rate throughout the simulation. And with the size of the Corridor increasing as you advance
to more difficult levels, your margin for escape from the Corridor gets tighter. Starfleet wishes you good luck and
success in your mission, Cadet.
