Bethesda Softworks — the new gaming licensee currently developing "Star Trek: Legacy" and "Star Trek: Tactical Assault" for a September release — has launched a new Web site dedicated exclusively to its
Trek titles.
Located at StarTrek.BethSoft.com, the site will serve as a clearinghouse for all the latest news, screenshots, updates, etc., for the current two titles and any future ones. At the moment, the site contains overviews of each game, along with concept art, FAQs, and links to coverage in other media. Soon the site will make available downloads of wallpapers and movies, as well as forums for discussions between developers and fans.
You can also sign up for the Bethesda newsletter to keep you apprised of timely information, along with exclusive screenshots and downloads.
Bethesda announced in January it had secured the rights from CBS Consumer Products to publish a series of Star Trek games on all gaming consoles, handhelds and PCs (related story). "Legacy" is being developed for the Xbox 360 and the PC, while "Tactical Assault" will run on the Sony PSP and the Nintendo DS.
