Gamers and Star Trek fans alike can look forward to action in the Mirror Universe with the release of TDK Mediactive's "Star Trek Shattered Universe" for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox console systems.

Scheduled for release on January 13, 2004 and developed by StarSphere, "Star Trek Shattered Universe" is a dark and edgy, high-energy space combat action game set in the Original Series Mirror Universe, where the Federation is no benevolent force, but instead an evil and ruthless empire.

"We are excited to be associated with the Star Trek and its millions of fans," stated Vincent Bitetti, chief executive officer, TDK Mediactive.

"Star Trek Shattered Universe" is produced by TDK Mediactive in co-operation with Activision, Inc. for the PlayStation 2. This will be the first Star Trek game on the PlayStation 2 console system.
