The official blog home of the Star Trek Online development team has been revamped to allow better coordination of new blog publishing. The improved version of the 'In Development' site will continue to provide official news about the massively multiplayer online game, along with special insights from members of the Perpetual Entertainment team and other peeks inside the game's evolution. The official community site is expected to launch in 2006.

Perpetual has also published the results of an extensive audience survey held in September 2005. Among the findings is that if "opposing factions" were introduced as playing options, a clear majority would choose to play in either the Borg or Klingon Empire factions.
