| "I think this chat was a great opportunity for fans to get together and talk about the particular episodes, and other random trek stuff afterwards." "Can't wait for the next one!" |
|
"It was fun! For it being the first time something like this was attempted, it went by really nicely." "it was a great event and we have to do it again." |
These are just a few of the comments from fans who participated in our first Viewing Party Chat. So we're going to do it again!
By popular demand, we've chosen the Star Trek: Enterprise first-season episode "Shuttlepod One" for the next event. In this episode, Malcolm Reed and "Trip" Tucker find themselves cut off from the Enterprise, convinced their starship has been destroyed and their days are numbered.
On Wednesday, July 13 Enterprise fans around the world will be simultaneously watching this episode and discussing it with each other online in the STARTREK.COM Lounge. Your hosts for this event will be STARTREK.COM's Tim Gaskill, editorial director, and Marc Wade, supervising producer.
Here's how it will work:
- Make sure you have the First Season DVD set. If you don't have it, order now so you'll have it in time.
- Visit STARTREK.COM on Wednesday, July 13.
- Click the Viewing Party Chat link to enter the chat room.
- We'll tell you when to start playing the episode.
There will be two events:
- For our international fans, the first will be at 7:00 p.m. GMT. For the start time in your part of the world, click here.
- For U.S. and Canada fans, the second event will be at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET. For that event's start time, click here.
Several lucky participants will be selected at random in each event to receive a special prize. In our previous chat, prizes included Enterprise Second Season DVD sets, autographed Dr. Phlox action figures, and Star Trek books.
Before the event, please be sure to read How Lounge Chat works. We hope to do more of these events in the future, so please be sure to join us for this entertaining on-line party!
If you have comments about this event, please send them to editor@startrek.com.
