Get ready for the next chapter of Star Trek excitement with STARTREK.COM's Star Trek Book Club! On the last Tuesday of every month, gather online in our event chat room with special guests and other fans to discuss Star Trek titles. Our next event is taking place on Tuesday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. PDT. It's the only official Star Trek Book Club on the Web and it's only at STARTREK.COM.

The Star Trek Book Club provides online chat events with authors, fans and Star Trek celebrities, plus in-depth information about a given month's featured book including how to purchase the book online.

"Stargazer: Maker" recounts a tale featuring Jean-Luc Picard from the days before Star Trek: The Next Generation when he was Captain of the U.S.S. Stargazer. When Ensign Andreas Nikolas, one of Picard's crew, is heartbroken, he resigns and seeks a new life on a freighter. All Nikolas wants is a chance to forget his troubles, but when the freighter is taken over by a monstrous alien with unbelievable powers, events lead to a potential war between the Federation and a deadly enemy.

Michael Jan Friedman has written many Star Trek books, including the previous Stargazer novels, "The Federation Travel Guide," "Legacy," "Kahless," "Crossover" and many, many more.
