Steven Weber took time out midway through his run as Brian Hackett on NBC’s hit sitcom Wings to go in a different direction as Bajoran coup supporter Colonel Day on the DS9 episode “The Siege.”

The Queens, N.Y., native, born in 1961, began his TV career on daytime’s classic As The World Turns in 1985 and had appeared in commercials as a child. Weber played a young John F. Kennedy among many roles in mini-series, later came to the final two years of ABC’s Once and Again as Sam Blue, and had a recurring role during one season of Without a Trace—plus his year as network chief Jack Rudolph on NBC’s acclaimed but short-lived Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Other TV guests bits have come on Monk, Psych, Law & Order: SVU, and the Showtime movie Clubland. Notable film credits include his lead in Single White Female and the intriguing vineyard owner of Farm House.
