A civilian Vulcan ship, of an older class, the Vahklas was commanded by Tavin, and carried a group of V'tosh ka'tur ("Vulcans without logic"), including Tolaris and Kov.
In 2151, the Vahklas encountered the Enterprise NX-01, when the Vulcan ship needed repairs. The crews worked together to chart the Arachnid Nebula, often using the Vahklas' astrometrics lab.
