A reptilian race, bred by unspecified eugenicists to enjoy being hunted and provide as exciting and interesting a chase as possible.

They live only to outwit their Hunters until they die with honor eluding capture — although they still take an oath of silence to outworlders about the process. In contrast, one of the greatest humiliation they can know is to be captured and brought home alive — kept on public display, humiliated by food throwers.  Not participating in the Hunt would be an even greater dishonor.
