The Tesnians require six hours of boron gas a day in order to survive. While attempting to dock, a Tesnian ship collided with Enterprise NX-01 and crashed into an asteroid. Malcolm Reed and Trip Tucker discovered the wreckage and believed that the Enterprise itself had been destroyed. Enterprise returned the passengers to their homeworld of Tesnia.
