The Taris Murn, as seen from a shuttle cockpit

The Taris Murn was one of the J'naii's interplanetary shuttles, whose disappearance with two hands aboard lead to the discovery and charting of the first known null space area.

The shuttle's plestorene-based life support systems last up to ten days. Riker and Soren took a shuttle into null space to find the shuttle. When they did, the ship suffered significant losses of electromagnetic power, which drained into null space. The crew was barely alive when Riker and Soren rescued them.
