A seed grain that can help restore crops, quintotriticale is vital to restoring the crops on Sherman's Planet, and helping to end the famine there. In 2269 (stardate: 5392.4), it is transported on two robot grain ships, one of which has registry number NCC-61465. Scotty refers to the grain as a wheat, and the ingestion of it causes tribbles to grow exponentially the more of it they eat.
