Denise Okuda is currently the associate producer for visual effects for CBS Paramount's remastered version of the original Star Trek series. Denise's credits also include Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, four Star Trek movies, the Threshold pilot, The Flash, and Warlord: Battle for the Galaxy, for which she served as video supervisor and graphic artist. She has also done promotional work for 20th-Century Fox's cult classic, "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the Eighth Dimension."
Denise is active with the Los Angeles Community Emergency Response Team, a volunteer group that prepares citizens to deal with disaster situations. She also works in animal-assisted therapy and is an ardent fan of the Green Bay Packers. Denise has occasionally served as a medical consultant to the writing staff of Star Trek.
Along with her husband, Michael, Denise has written text commentaries for key episodes and movies in Paramount Home Video's Star Trek DVD collections. The two have also co-authored the "Star Trek Encyclopedia," "Star Trek Chronology: The History of the Future," and the amazing "Star Trek Sticker Book." Denise has served as an associate producer on Simon and Schuster Interactive's "Star Trek: The Captain's Chair" CD-ROM, and was a creative consultant on "Buckaroo Banzai: Ancient Secrets & New Mysteries."
Denise lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband and their dogs, Molly and Tranya.
