Native of planet Gideon, daughter of prime minister Hodin. In 2268 Odona sought to become a role model for her nightmarishly crowded world by contracting Vegan choriomeningitis and dying young. The plan was foiled when she was cured of the disease by Dr. McCoy. She nevertheless chose to remain on her world to help solve its problems, despite the fact that she had fallen in love with Captain Kirk.
