Lt. Commander Tom Markel
The commanding officer of the S.S. Ariel, Markel is an older man with brown hair. He wears a gold command uniform shirt. When his ship is investigating Lactra VII in 2269, he abandons his ship in orbit in an attempt to find the missing members of his crew. Luckily, he and the survivors from the Ariel are rescued from the Lactran intergalactic zoo by Captain Kirk and his crew from the U.S.S. Enterprise.
