A Class-VI, Starfleet supply ship, the Lantree was assigned to the Gamma 7 sector.

Its 26-member crew was found dead by the Enterprise-D, after Enterprise answered a distress call from the Lantree.

Initially, Enterprise quarantined the Lantree, due to the discovery of a rapid-aging disease aboard the supply ship. Ulitmately, however, the vessel was destroyed with a single photon torpedo, when the disease that killed its crew was found to be incurable.
