Kazon-Ogla youth encountered by Chakotay in 2372. Degraded in the eyes of his fellow Kazon for not killing his Federation enemy, Kar eventually joined with Chakotay in a daring escape. Kar did earn the warrior name of Jal Karden by killing a fellow Ogla antagonist.
