This rotor-winged aircraft, or "helicopter," was used on Earth in the late 20th century.

In 1986, Sulu used one such vehicle to deliver Plexiglas panels to the time-traveling Klingon Bird-of-Prey. The panels were used to build a massive whale tank onboard the ship.
