A Vhnori male. Hatil suffered a debilitating accident and, in 2371, chose to undergo the Vhnori transference ritual since he had become a burden on his family. After hearing Harry Kim's reports about the dimension his people call the "Next Emanation," Hatil began to have doubts about his beliefs concerning the afterlife. Hatil decided not to undergo the ritual, but instead fled to live in the Cararian Mountains with friends.
