Miguel José Ferrer was born on February 7, 1955 in Santa Monica, California.  After television appearances in the early 1980s, Ferrer turned to movies starting with a small role in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock as the executive officer of the U.S.S. Excelsior before being cast in 1987's RoboCop.  The veteran actor has appeared in multiple primetime series over his career including Shannon's Deal, Broken Badges, Twin Peaks and seven years on Crossing Jordan.
