B'Rel-class Bird of Prey

Designation of the smaller Bird-of-Prey class, in use within the Klingon Empire since the 2280s. Two of the B'Rel ships were used by renegade Ferengi DaiMon Lurin to board and commandeer the U.S.S. Enterprise-D.

An unnamed Klingon vessel of this class ferried Kang, Kor, Koloth and Jadzia Dax to Secarus IV to fulfill a blood oath of vengeance against the Albino depredator responsible for slaying the three Klingons' firstborn children.

The vessel's disrupter banks were modified to bombard the surface from low orbit with tetryon particles which disarmed all directed energy weapons, evening their odds against his forces, and was operated without additional crew.

Notably, another unnamed ship of this type was employed by the Duras sisters, Lursa and B'Etor, and destroyed the Enterprise-D on stardate 50896.5.
