The relief helmsman aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, Ensign Walking Bear has a Comanche heritage and has studied the history and legends of many Earth cultures. In 2270 (stardate: 6063.4), when the Enterprise encounters a bizarre alien ship, Walking Bear is the only crew member to recognize Kukulkan, the winged serpent god of the ancient Mayan and Aztec legends.
