This item was identified by Jordan Dye from Glendale, Arizona, Andrew Nier from Los Angeles, California and Roy B. Snyder, Sr. from Otsego, Michigan.
According to the Christie's Catalogue, this is:
LOT 184 - DILITHIUM MOTHERLODE
A large cluster of flawed quartz crystals -- 15x10x6in. -- used as prop dilithium crystals in the Rura Penthe mines in "Judgment" in Star Trek: Enterprise
Estimate:
$300-500
Jordan was the first to correctly identify the dilithium crystal, and Andrew was the first to note
that it was seen in "Judgment". Roy also quoted Kolos, "Not all Klingons are warriors. Remember?"
Almost all other entries thought this was the remains of the Caretaker, as seen in "Caretaker" and "Cold Fire". There is a visual resemblance, however in "Caretaker" Janeway picked up that
item and held it in one hand; this item is 15x10x6 inches of quartz.
A few people recognized it as dilithium, but placed it either in a ship's engineering section or
on Rura Penthe but in "Star Trek V". Others suggested it was the stone surrounding Kira in "Heart of Stone" or the rock that Kirk used while fighting the Gorn. Travis Martin said, "it's
what's left of you after the rock creature from "Devil in the Dark" runs you over!!"
