"The Man Trap,"
the first-ever aired episode of Star Trek, gets the Remastered treatment for the second season of syndication. While the scope of the original episode was noticeably limited by the soundstage planetscape, the Remastered series allows the producers to break open the limited visuals with a long shot that establishes the area where the crew beam in, plus we get to see the edifice in which much of the main action takes place.
The original shot (bottom) shows the beam-in point of the landing party, but except for a few scattered remnants of old structures and an orange sky, that's really all we see of planet M-113's surface.
