We are still discovering ancient pyramids which is awesome beause maybe just maybe buried deep underneath one those seemingly meaningless pyramids we will unearth ancient technology left behind that will take us into space and spread the seed of humanity.

Yes, dryson.  It seems that Khufu's builders learned quite a lot from their predecessors, which they incorporated in the now-more-famous pyramids at Giza.

One of my favorites is the earlier Red Pyramid.  It is so symmetrical!

The ancients were also very into star gazing and exploring the unknown. What happened to that drive?

Our philosophies and/or religious beliefs have changed.  Ironically, many ancient peoples believed in extraterrestrial life, then most people poo-pooed that.  Now, once again, our scientific community is operating the Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI).  Funny how life works, isn't it?

By the way, they think one of the pharaohs built a string of such pyramids along the Nile, leading down to the southern border.  Why, no one knows.

I wonder if there is any interesing technology in the newly-discovered pyramid. If there is, it could change our perception of history as we know it.

Very true Miklamar.

Magic 23 - You never know. Perhaps there is not any technology underneath of this most recent pyramid found but perhaps in its very design.

An alien species encountering humanity would not simply just have given us technology because that would make humanity lazy and basically a slave. But instead the aliens would have hidden their technological designs in the architecture of the design of the pyramid itself.

for example if you measure the one side of the base of the pyramid and then take half the length of the perpendicular base to the first base and then build a rectangle out of it you would have a piece of architecture that is ready to be lathed.

Next you would count the total number of blocks used in the pyramids building and other measurements associated with the material of the pyramid until you have a set of coordinates that can then be programmed into the lathe to create the new piece of technology.

It might look like nothing at first but after more hands come into contact with the lathe piece the hidden technology slowly becomes real.

Crichon Miller has some amazing thoughts on how the ancients traveled long distances across oceans and built structures like the pyramids, using a Celtic cross-shaped tool.
