I've seen the new design here at CBS.But I think it should be based on Voyager's concept-look duration, armed like the Defiant, with quantum slip-stream engines. It will shuttle Amb. Neelix and Dexxa regularly to the Alpha quadrant as the female caretaker  has formally apologized to the Federation for attacking the Voyager crew and graciously donated the transporter technology to the whole Alpha quadrant as a gift.It has come in useful during the proceeding 18 year Borg wars.

I agree with the weaponary. the ship however, I think it should be some sort of soverign refit class. Quantum slipstream drive would be good too. Maybe add some transphasic torpedoes to the weaponary too.

Sounds good to me! Tricobalt and quantum torpedoes would be the best.

Maybe transwarp drive instead of quantum slipstream, as it would be more stable (although quantum slipstream will always sound cooler )

That's nice! I like the nacelle struts.

The saucer looks like the one from the nebula class. I would have thought they would have used something more advanced, like a soverign class saucer. A reasonable design though,

The rear part with a modified Intrepid-Sovereign hybrid saucer. That would look nice.

They should make them automatic. Uh oh, torpedo incoming and shields automaticly raise themselves.

Well, they already raise themelves at Red Alert, so that should be sufficient.

The elevated aft saucer strut does appear to be the Nebula class design, but it houses an additional drive making the life boat aspect of the saucer that much more practical.

Other saucer sep designs left the saucer section inhabitants at the mercy of sublight travel. This was prtactical when all stardrive / warpdrive platforms were unstable.

But once they became more stable and more able to render inert before breaching, putting the stardrive on the lifeboat aspect makes more sense. In this case the elevated aft saucer strut is a transwarp propulsion platform.

Brilliant.

And btw, the saucer unlike the nebula which is oval shaped is round and its underside has a recessed ring like the underside of the mammoth spacestation "mushroom top" section.

The unblunted saucers (since the Constellation design) are so aerodynamic in design as to have very little interior volume (space).

I believe the idea was to have t lease some volume on the ship since the rest of it is razor thin. What practical purpose could come of a ship that big only capable of sustaining ten people and a glove compartment???

I have a new idea:

Design a new class based on the soverign. 4 nacelles or so in the same configuration as the prometheus class with two warp cores. primary and secondary shielding (possibly metaphasic) and armed with quantum, photon and transphasic torpedoes along with 20 or so phaser banks.

I like it! Although, I don't think it could handle that many phaser banks.

Even with the double warp cores? the original soverign had 16 phaserbanks or so after a minor refit
