Some of the posts I've read along the lines of a Voyager movie seem to operate under the idea that it would have to have something to do with the delta quadrant.  I don't see it that way, though.  For one thing, Voyager had Jeri Taylor and Kate Mulgrew.  Jeri has that skill for writing more about the characters and the human element between them.  Kate made Janeway shine beyond what even Jeri imagined.  I can see a movie working very well if you have at least those two on the project.  So, since Trek fans are very smart, we should be able to easily come up with a few ideas for the franchise to ponder, yeah?  I've got an idea that I'll post soon when I have the time.

No one's got any ideas?  Sheesh.  Anyway, my idea was that Janeway meets the perfect guy and they have a great time.  Then, one day, she slips and falls while rock climbing or something and he saves her in a very Q-like way.  The point is that the Q aren't all like the one that bugged the heck out of TNG and Voyager.  "The Q you're used to is practically a kid."  We get to learn how the Q came to be what they are.  "We had two things going for us when we reached our warp capability phase.  One, we were already living to be hundreds of years old and two, as near as we can tell, we were the first people to reach the stars.  There just wasn't anyone else out there."  But the nuances to being in the continuum are many.  "When the Q evolved to the point where we were immortal, some of us were only a few hundred years old.  I had just entered the last thousand years of my lifespan so of course I was one of the first to leave the mortal coil, so to speak.  The Q you know was only a couple hundred years old so, unfortunately, whatever age and maturity level you were at when we became immortal is pretty much how you are forever."

This just seemed to be more interesting than yet another got-stranded-in-the-delta-quadrant-with-the-borg story line.  Perhaps he gives Janeway the powers of the Q.  It has possibilities anyway.

what about a voyager fleet exploring the delta quadrant? It would have to do without captain janeway thought, she was promoted to admiral (and still was as of Star trek nemisis)

Lets make sure history never forgets the name... Enterprise

That sounds neat. Maybe Seven could have her own ship, retrofitted with Borg technology. It could be the U.S.S. Resistance.
