Could a cross-fire fusion reactor be used to provide a starship's EPS power?

Seems like it would have promise as it would be able to generate electrical power for ship based systems as well as a propulsion system.

I would hope that Higgs-Boson physics would be used in the same as a fusion engine where once the particles that are discovered that created the Big Bang are able to be reproduced the particles wouldbe  introduced into a chamber at around .0000000000001% of the total overall explosive propulsive potential of the Big Bang to generate forward momentum.

Anyone want to figure out how much of the Big Bangs energy at .0000000000001% would equal in propulsive momentum?
