Every time we want to post on Star Trek.com we have to put in those captcha codes.  Ok thats fine we do it in the hopes that we will have a clean site for trek fans only.

I am frustrated that we do all this and there is still tons of junk on the boards.  I come here to discuss trek and not download movies.

Just wanted to vent a little.

I am the only one bothered by this?

Once CBS took over StarTrek.Com,
those running it seem to have had
their hands tied. They tried hard,
for a long time and there were many
others who were posting here ...
many others. Most of them are gone.

These problems you mentioned are not
the only ones that plagued this site.

Unfortunately, the issues have persisted.
This site, which CBS assured us was going
to be absolutely amazing was inexplicably
scaled down from what they inherited to
the site as it currently exists.

I do not blame the techs or the monitors.
Though CBS can make public statements
to the contrary, the proof is in the pudding,
that there is no priority placed on this site.

Even the "store" continues to be way overpriced,
compared to Official goods sold elsewhere. Errors
and glitches are not uncommon to the Star Trek Store.

What's more remarkable is that even when
STAR TREK: Into Darkness was released,
startrek.com made no attempt to improve
this site, or make any big deal out of it ...

I don't mind typing words--even nonsense ones--for security purposes.  I understand that need, nowadays.  However, I have trouble seeing the curving letters, and not knowing if they are capitals or not, since some of them seem to overlap.  (Age does things to one's eyes.)

I have a tough time with that as well...  I understand the need for security, just frustrating as 2takes says above that the site overall isn't living up to it's extreme potential....

There's a kind of freedom in being totally screwed, you know things can't get any worse.

I find it easier to read the numbers.

Blalock & Nimoy were the best two actors in the Star Trek universe. Go Vulcans!
