I'm confused Technically Jonathan Frakes did not appear as William Riker in any Deep Space Nine episode that I can remember. he appeared as Thomas Riker pretending to be William Riker in the episode 'Defiant' but he was not William so why do they include him?

Here is the statement that I read someplace

Richard Poe makes his first appearance as Gul Evek, though he’s not named here. He’ll be back in “The Maquis, Part 1” and “Tribunal,” and also TNG’s “Journey’s End” and “Preemptive Strike,” and Voyager’s pilot episode “Caretaker,” making him one of only six actors to play the same character in three Trek shows, and by far the hardest of those six to remember (the others being Jonathan Frakes as William Riker, Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, Armin Shimerman as Quark, John deLancie as Q, and Michael Ansara as Kang).

Yea... I understand that, but since Thomas & William are technically (kind of) the same person, I can go with the statement.

Don't forget that William Riker was also in the finale of Enterprise. That's probably the three series they are counting. TNG, Voyager, and Enterprise

What's the "someplace"? is that Memory Alpha, someone's blog, or some other site/article?

If it's Memory Alpha, then that's just a wiki, if someone's blog, then they probably slipped up, and if it's an article? Don't know. It would help to have the source!

Tim Russ I believe was in a TNG episode when the enterprise has to be evacuated as they were doing some sort of radiation scan and he was one of the thieves trying to steal I think warp plasma or something

He was also on the Enterprise C I believe in Generations

Majel Barrett-Roddenberry is a prime example of being in 3 versions of Trek

TOS: Number One (The Cage) Christine Chapel and the voice of the Computer

TNG: voice of computer & Lwaxana Troi

DS9 Lwaxana Troi.

With rare eXceptions, most of the time,
seeing the same actor in multiple roles
in ANY of the STAR TREK series would leap
me right out of my Suspension of Disbelief!

Like that one HUGE Klingon that was on every
ship, from TNG on. He even snuck onto STAR
TREK: Generations! Enough with this guy!!!
He even played a Romulan on ENTERPRISE ...

Are you talking about Tony Todd? The actor who played Kurn in TNG/DS9, old Jake Sisko in DS9 and a Hirogen in Voyager? That guy was awesome!

No. I was talking about this guy ...
STAR TREK after STAR TREK, until
the ReBoot came along, it seems like,
he played as a henchman, usually with
a few lines of dialogue, at least. Drove
me nuts! It's not like Mark Leonard, who
was almost regal in his appearance and so
eloquent in his delivery ... that it was kind of
wild to see him as a Klingon. This guy, though,
it's more like, "you're really milking this franchise."

Majel Barrett was also the voice of Federation computers on DS9 -- the Defiant, runabouts, etc.  I think the computer counts as a character, and I'm happy that she wins the grand prize.
