I see lots of dissatisfaction with the way Kirk was brought back. I see it like this:Khan's blood didn't bring him back to life, it was used to repair the radiation damage that killed Kirk. Bones kept Kirk "on ice" until he got the blood from Khan.
In this current age, we can revive people that have "died" with CPR, and heart transplants are accomplished with heart/lung machines.
It isn't much of a stretch to believe that in the future advanced forms of these methods could be used in cases such as Kirk's.
