I do not know why lots of people tlak down the ENT series. It was a great series that deserved its full seven years if not at least another year. Tell me what you think.

I agree. I will admit that first season was a little shaky but by the 4th season I was a die hard fan. It hurts my feelings that we will never see the planned romulan war for the fifth season.

Yeah, even a revamp now would be awesome. Seeing if they decide to alter the storyline to keep Trip alive and follow the book series with him becoming a spy.

I agree. It was just reaching its high point when they cancelled it. I would love a remake of it as long as they used the same actors and Trip was alive.

I would have loved to see the romulan war played out on screen as it was beginning to show how the romulans actually were before Kirk encountered them in Balance of Terror and that drone ship I believe would have been a useful weapon. I had to contend with the novels to continue the story. It definatly deserved 7 series or at least one extra season so it could have a send off that was as good as TNG,Ds9 and Voy. ENT finale is only slightly better than TOS's last episode and could really be classed as a TNG episode rather than ENT

I think as the years go by fans have developed a kinder attitude towards ENT. 10 years ago when the show was on the air everyone was trashing it. I gave up halfway through S1 and only watched a handful of episodes afterwards. A few years ago I decided to give it another chance and found I really enjoyed several episodes. I still have problems with it and it ranks bottom of my list but all in all it wasn't a bad series. They certainly deserved a better finale than that God awful "These are the Voyages..."

Mugatu_for_Two,

I too feel they deserved a better final episode. That said, the last time I watched "These are the voyages" I stopped just after Archer hugged T'Pol, that way I  cut out the irrelevant dialouge between Riker and what's her name. Worked for me.

I have been rewatching ENT and enjoying it very much. I too wish it got a full 7 years and a great finale.

The final episode was 1 of the more painful hours of TV ive ever watched....  knowing it was cancelled ...  what they decided to do with trip ... the rushed ending with Archer signing the charter ....and of course the worst 5 min in trek history .... (and a complete spit in the face to all enterprise fans) ....when we find out the 4 years of watching this show was a holodeck program.

YUKKKK ... i still shake my head thinking about that.

Obviously I have missed something. I didnt realize they said it was all a program. I thought 'These are the Voyages' just summerized the years we supposedly missed(due to the cancellation) on the holodeck. Granted, I only watched it a couple of times, but I dont even remember reading or hearing anyone mention this. Did I miss this fact, really? I will have to watch that episode again. Where is that 5 minutes?

No it wast just the final 6 years we missed to get to the charter signing.... the whole series was a holodeck creation.

Now I havnt seen the final episode in quite a few years (thank god) ... but ultimatley the series enterprise was a holodeck program Will Riker was running to try and figure out what he should do about a big problem going on during his time on enterprise D.... now yes riker explains to troy that the stuff we did watch was pretty much what went on during those early voyages of John Archer and his crew .... but that he recreated it all to observe.

Enterprise in 5 min went from a stand alone series which 'yes' many people looked forward too and enjoyed ...ad reduced it into a show about Will Riker and Star Trek TNG.

I really wish Johnathan Frakes and Mirina Sirtis would have refused to do that cameo... cause it was a kick i the head to the fans that watched this show.

The whole series wasn't a simulation. The holodeck program was just the stuff we saw in finale (which I agree was a very disappointing way to end the series).

gonna have to watch the last episode again then maybe... i took it as Riker watched all of Archers experiences which included all 4 seasons to help him make a decision.

either way, it sucked.

And they say Barclay was the one suffering from holo-addiction geez... How many days was he spending in the holodeck. I feel sorry for the rest of the crew who wanted to use the holodeck...
