Over the last few weeks, I've been thinking of how music has changed over time... not only in style, but also the instruments - from simple to brass and now electronics.

And then I accidentally came across a video of a "Reactagon Interactive Sequencer" and thought it was fascinating.

Sure we integrate new tech to the latest style in music but over all what was once old and primitive becomes new and advanced. Its almost like the cycle of life or recycling of water.

The music is the main thing, rather than the instruments.  Various Star Trek races, living on other planets and in other systems, will use a variety of sound-making devices.  So, I think the composition is still the key to appreciating music.

Debussy said he tried to give each "character" its own voice, in his compositions, reminiscent of of symbolizing that personality.  If one is able, I think that is the way to go.
