was one of the MOST beautiful and
talented women to guest star on TNG!

>The Bajoran make-up wasn't all that
interesting, but Ensign Ro certainly was.
For me, though, the Bajorans did suffer
from what happens whenever STAR TREK
tries to flesh out ANY of its races ...
they keep throwing stuff at the wall to
see what sticks. It's very Hit-or-Miss, but
becomes part of the show, anyway and
that sucks, when there's no filter on it.

Actually they probably had Ensign Ro turn out to be a traitor just because it was on the 2nd to the last TNG episode. So it didn't matter anyway since she was just a reccuring character that would likely never appear on any Star Trek show/movie again after that.

I don't think the Bajorans are hated, but they can be annoying at times.  They play the poor-pitiful-me card a bit too much.

But, Bajorans are intelligent, brave and peaceful, making them admirable citizens of the Federation.

The only bajorians I didnt like which also made me dislike certain aspects of DS9 was the religious aspect. I found them a little bit to Preachy and the poor me attitude didnt wash.

as the previous post said bajorans are intelligent and brave and not a push over as we saw with Ensign Ro and Kira

The religious ones, or the ones using religion for power?  There was a huge difference between Opaka and Winn.

I agree with Thommy.

Most episodes are WWII inspired stories. . . .Cardasians /Germans enslave the Bajorans/Jews. . . .Alot of Voyager's Episodes were WWII stories as well.

Bajorans are persecuted because they Believe in & Look to the Prophets/God. . . .not Man. . . . .Bajorans simply want to be left alone to worship as they feel/believe. . . . .but the Newtonians/Secularists/Cardassians see Religion as NonSense. Cardassians & Similar think "Why should the Milk & Honey of Bajorans go to God/Bajorans, we Could Conquer/Tax them into Poverty/Slavery & use the Milk & Honey for ourselves"

Now many of the Simple Minded that can't Extrapolate are now gonna go Apoplectic, So be it.

I see Odo a little bit like a Bajoran -because he was raised by them(kinda) - so I think they are GREAT!!!!
