TAS should be considered canon since it completes the 5 year mission more or less by adding two more seasons. Also, the "Star Wars" franchise has an animated series which is obviously considered Star Wars canon.

Star wars has a ompletley different scale for what is canon, they have different "levels" of canon-ness

Have to double check the episode. There is a conversation between Dr. Phlox & T'Pol. Phlox congratulates T'Pol for staying on Enterprise for as long as she has & goes on to say something like this "You are not the first Vulcan to serve on a Earth Star ship. The others did not stay for more than a few weeks because humans were too emotional for them." Lose paraphrase!  The Episode might be "Breaking the ice." I'll check & get back to you all.

dont think it was that episode, and i remember a line of similar dialog, but it was about her not being the first vulcan to work/live with humans.

You are correct that it is not in Breaking the ice. Inded I scanned 4 or 5 episodes last night and could not find the scene.

Blalock & Nimoy were the best two actors in the Star Trek universe. Go Vulcans!
