Hello! I'm new to this site, so apologies if this topic has been discussed multiple times before (which I'm sure it has!) I'd really like to read some of the Star Trek novels, but I'm becoming overwhelmed with the sheer amount of them and the order in which to read them! Deep Space Nine and TNG are my favorites, but I'd also like to hit some of those considered the "best," and many of those seem to be TOS novels (maybe?) Should I start there? If not, where would be a good place to begin TNG books, and also the DS9 books? I've seen each the series (except Enterprise) and all movies, if that helps. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

I'd start with the Lives of Dax by Marco Palmeri. It is a very thought out book exploring the origins of Dax both as a host and a whole person. It's one of my favorites.
