>Btw, I thought Ed Furlong was in jail? Or did Kate Mulgrew break him out for this mission?

Ha ha!!! Girls do LOVE Bad Boys! I remember when he was
dating Jolene Blalock! Oh, how the mighty have fallen! But ...
that's what happens though, when some guys lose an amazing
piece of crumpet like that - they also lose all their marbles.
Ah, well ... with any luck RENEGADES will put Eddie Furlong
back on track ... and back on the map!

Jason underwood, I carry your sentiment- I would not let the possibility pass on by either. Let me just add that it is obvious that no pilot production can reach the level of an actual series if there hasn´t been a large money injection before. Thus one can forgive if the movie is shot "in someones basement". The thing is to create something that has a direct connection to the series we came to know and love as Star Trek.

2takesFrakes: I just read that he was arrested 3 times for GBH-ing Monica Keena, who is also in Trek Renegades. She has a restraining order against him. If Renegades is still to start filming then...what? Are they gonna film their stuff in separate basements?

Vulcan Merchant: I agree mostly. That's why I thought Star Trek Continues was okay, cos they had a little bit of budget [though the guy who played Sulu was awful] and they kept to the spirit of Trek. But it will never be anywhere near as good as a regular Trek TV series...

Why does no-one in Trek make zines?

Mr. Jason, I will not let the opportunity pass. Actually I have posted in different other threads to read this one. My hopes are really high. 2takesfrakes, I am actually surprised by your tone, I remember having read other postings that had some thought to them ... well, even if you atone with your second comment - I am still shocked. The tips of my ears are still shaking. Even if I can understand that the low budget attempt can be equally shocking. But what can be done, it is a rather independet project that in this case needs to go that way to win over the big bucks.

Edward ... Walter ... Furlong!!! ... Behave yourself, sir ...
At least until production wraps on STAR TREK: Renegades.
And whatever you do, don't get with Lindsay Lohan! That
will leap you right out of the frying pan ... and into the fire!

Vulcan merchant, I'm sorry your ear-tips got all wobbly
when you read my unflattering appraisal of "Gods & Men."
Fan Films have their followers, I understand and get that.
It's disappointing though, to see actors who've been in the
business - some since the sixties - with egg on their face.

As I stated previously, I would LOVE to see the SAME actors,
crew and budget in a non-STAR TREK production. Something like
a slasher movie, or zombie flick - something to show that these
veteran actors can do something OTHER than just STAR TREK ...

Well I get what you mean. But some of them have been appearing in other series or movies. One does not need a fanmade movie to enter a new course just for the fun of it. The thing with Eddie Furlong escaped my spider sense.
