Ok people, we see the way Bashir acts around his crew-mates while off duty, which relationship seems more like a BFF?

Definitely O'Brien/Bashir. I think Garek was more of a mysterious fascination to Bashir.

O'Brien is definitely Bashir's best friend, but I think Bashir might be Garak's best friend, or only friend.

I'm going to vote for O'Brien/Bashir, because it seems more like a healthy friendship. Garak/Bashir is pretty much a dysfunctional mentor/protegé relationship.

I too vote for O'Brian/Bashir   Garak was just finding himself thanks to Bashir, Ezri Dax, and Ziyal.

Bashir/O'Brien > Miles/Keiko

Seriously, if Keiko weren't such a pain in the ass, O'Brien might actually spend time at home and not with Bashir in the holosuite.

I think Bashir was good as both of their friend. That said, however (and though Bashir & Garak are -- as individuals -- my two favourite characters in all of Trek), as a pairing I would have to opt for Bashir & O'Brien. They are just such a delight together, as really good mates.

Definitely Bashir'O'Brien. Those 2 are a hoot when they're together. I would also say that in the current Star Trek movies Kirk and McCoy are great together as best friends. They add a definite humorous side to the story line as they continue to deepen the ongoing friendship.

I am having a lot of problems with this comment.  Aparently Star Trek.com doesn't agree with my comment.  However, am I the only one who feels that Jadzia Dax made a huge mistake in going after Worf?  (Clearly he wasn't interested, but she just wouldn't stop)  Let's face it, they are not a good match.  Neither is Ezri & Bashir.  Bashir should have tried harder with Jadzia.  That was a much better match.

Another good BFF pairing was Harry Kim and Tom Paris of ST Voyager. Who can forget those two in the holodeck playing Captain Proton?

And Tom was always trying to talk Harry into doing something or other. And Harry, being the true blue friend he was, almost always gave in. They also had their serious times too like when both Tom and Harry were trapped in that prison sphere thing and they seemed to have no hope of getting rescued from it. While Tom laid on the floor ill, Harry climbed up the long food-dispense chute looking for a way out. The only thing he found was empty, outer space on the other side. A sense of sheer hopelessness registered on his face.

The real question is which one of them was Bashir sleeping with.

I kid. But I've read some viewers write that they really do think Bashir was sleeping with O'Brien, Garak, or both.

Do you forget Worf saying "I have courted and won the heart of the magnificent Jadzia Dax."  That's hardly  "not interested".  Worf just wasn't the type to initiate romance. I don't blame him since K'Ehleyr's death probably left a hole in his heart. Worf worshipped Jadzia.

And what problem do you have with my comment.  Keiko was a shrew. Worst. Wife. Evar.

LOL I disagree about Keiko. I don't love her, but I don't think she was that bad

Oh she got me so mad everytime she was on screen.  Irrationally mad, lol.  I wanted to dump her out an airlock.  No wonder Miles was always at Quark's.
